 Animal spots and stripes continue for Fall/Winter 2010-11. Our favorites were often re-colored and re-scaled and were twinned with classic flannels, camel hair, and denim. We love the bright orange accent featured in the Got Issues?  and Hang-10 and know they will bring a vibrant chic to your life.  If animal patterns seem a little dramatic, try one item like a belt, a bag, or a shoe with an all solid ensemble and test the waters. Like tartans, animal patterns are classics, and it’s up to you to decide how much you want to introduce them into your world.

Back in the states after a whirlwind trip through the Fashion Capitals of Europe, here are some of our favorite trends and finds from across the pond. The fashion directions discovered in Europe support the Fall/Winter Scout line and offer inspirational ideas about new ways to wear classics and avant-garde looks.

Tartans are more potent than ever, traditionally, rendered or re-colored, and rescaled for a stronger fashion point of view. Our favorites were found in all of the fashion cities on accessories and RTW in mixes with contemporary materials, such as denim, leather, and metallics. Some of our favorite interpretations of tartan were a muffler designed by Comme des Garcons, which features patchwork tartans and the sheer chiffon patchwork tartan blouses from Sport Max.
