ON TWEED
In the fall 2012 collections tweed was featured as a fabric and a fabric effect, also paired with plaid, and also as a digital interpretation. No longer considered exclusively ‘menswear’, tweed this fall has settled comfortably between feminine florals and recolored plaids & houndstooths, and it is no doubt settling comfortably into the wardrobes and outfits of fashionistas in cooler climates who’ve already begun to pair theirs with novelty accessories (as seen in the below styling from Marni).
